It is not easy at all...

For Christmas enthusiasts who love to walk around the Christmas market and for those who enjoy the Christmas festivities with friends and family, the adjustments this year may be difficult.

Some of you may enjoy it secretly, without obligation to satisfy the entire family and countless invitations to Christmas brunch.

Others are ambitiously working on ways to send Christmas spirit via video chat and thus experience closeness with family and friends.

No matter where you may find yourself this year, let us look at the positive and see the opportunities ahead of us.

There is no doubt the pandemic has been a major source of stress for everyone this past year. In addition to health concerns, many practices had to close at least temporarily and we were unable to provide you with face-to-face courses as we all were used to.
 
But one thing was clear: we could not give up on the courses. We worked diligently to create an online course that provided the most effective Neurofeedback approach, resulting in the best therapeutic results and enthusiastic patients.
 
Thank you very much for switching to live online courses with us! The effort was enormous, but the expectations were far exceeded. We now offer both - basic and indication-specific courses – online in many languages throughout Europe. These are and will be an integral part of our course offering in the upcoming year.
Many dates are therefore already planned for 2021! But we are of course already looking forward to the time when face-to-face courses will again be possible!
 
We have also completed a number of studies and achieved important milestones in research and development. If you have not yet heard of the breaking findings of the Neurofeedback study from Dobrushina et al. have a look at our blog post about this.

New Cygnet release notes. Update to version 2.0.7.1 will be available on November 23rd
 
This release includes several game updates, as well as the following changes:
 
  • The initial load time is reduced by up to 30%
  • Switch between the ILF-HD, Alpha-Theta and Synchrony modules without delay
  • No restart is required to activate and deactivate the Combi Sensor

To install the update, please follow these steps:
 
  1. Please check Windows and driver updates and bring them up to date if necessary

    From Monday 23rd November 2020 you can perform the Cygnet update as follows:
     
  2. Click on the "Help" menu in Cygnet, go to "About", click "Check for Updates" and follow the installation instructions.
 
We strongly recommend taking your time for the update and do not run it between therapy sessions or in the morning before opening your practice.

Tip: Keep your PC up-to-date for stable Neurofeedback
 
Most technical issues are often related to (missing) PC updates of operating systems or drivers. If you encounter problems with Cygnet, please check:
 
  • Windows and driver updates
    Cygnet problems often occur when either no update has been done for a long time or automatic updates have been done. In any case, keep Windows and your drivers up to date.

Then check if a current Cygnet version is available. To do this:
  • Open the menu "Help" in Cygnet
  • Click on "About"
  • And on "Check for Updates"

Then simply follow the installation instructions. Ideally, do not perform this under time pressure or between therapy sessions. Further tips can be found on the BEE Medic website in the menu Support/FAQ.

Procedure of the Neurofeedback Online Basic Course:

Part I: 01.05. - 03.05.2020 & Part II: 08.05. - 10.05.2020
Fridays from 13.00 h - 18.00 h
Saturday and Sunday from 9.00 h - 18.00 h
 
The two course weekends together form the course and build on each other. Registration for the online course includes the participation of both weekends.
 
To provide the technical equipment in time we kindly ask you to register by 24th of April 2020
 
Participation is to secure your possibility to later time a Neurofeedback Basic Course in a location of your choice to visit with 50 % discount.
